Louis is a little devil. He’s mischievous, relentlessly teasing his peers as well as underclassmen. It’s often misconstrued as bullying, but anyone who knows him would know better—he means no harm in it. He’s a bit of a diva as well, getting salty about petty ‘acts of prejudice and unfairness’ as well as fussing over his appearance to the extent of meticulously calculating his charm levels during break periods; which leads to a bit of a priority strain between his looks and his school work. Louis has a tendency to be flighty, commitment wary, and can be seen skipping club activities, even something as low maintenance as hanging out with the anime research kids. The only reason he hasn’t quit yet is because he kind of likes it, and he likes being able to say that, yes, he is in a club that isn’t the migration club. He’s extremely hands-on and doesn’t quite grasp the concept of ‘personal space’, taking to leaning on people or touching their shoulders/hair/hands whether he knows them or not. It’s generally less of a flirting thing than it is overly pushy friendliness, but it just adds to his bubbling boisterity. He isn’t really sensitive to the many negative responses that come with being so physically intimate without knowing boundaries, at least not physically, but will (try his best to!!!) respect someone’s request for more space if told to do so (it’s an active challenge for him to remember and enforce it with himself, though).

Louis’s from a small family. Only child, lives in a cottage with mom and dad. It’s comfy, he’s spoiled; everything works out pretty harmoniously. His grades are only average, so there’s the occasional scuffle on those matters, but otherwise the family doesn’t clash too heavily. However, Louis was a nervous wreck as a child. Spineless. Always clinging to his mother’s skirt or his father’s coat lapels as he spoke. Or didn’t speak, and was simply scrutinized under the gaze of strangers. The contact of flesh on his own, or warmth radiating from beneath layers of clothing is continually reassuring, and Louis often takes comfort in it, to tide over the nervousness he gets sometimes. Whether it’s the nervousness of rejection or just socialization in general. It becomes a hard habit to shake after he’s graduated from elementary, like a child who still sucks their thumb past toddler-hood, and in middle school he becomes a fan of bluffing. Except it gets him into a lot of situations that he didn’t mean to get into (he hones his flight instincts during this time period). Having heard of the academy through a little birdie or two (//kill me lol) about a year before he was out of middle school, he absolutely begged his parents to let him attend. To start new and let him act closer to the way that he acted at home, closer to himself, not the way he acted in order to survive. Over the years, his relentless bluffing has turned into less of an act and more of a genuine means of expression. He’s become that charismatic young man that’s he’s always pretended to be, and he’s not unsatisfied with that change.
